Tributes to former Quarry Bank shopkeeper Ida Cartwright who died of Covid aged 91
TRIBUTES have been paid to a "hardworking" and popular former Quarry Bank shopkeeper who has died of coronavirus aged 91. Ida Cartwright ran Cartwright's grocers and general store in New Street with the help of her husband Roy for around 40 years, becoming a popular face in the area. Ida died at Russells Hall Hospital on February 4 after contracting coronavirus.
