Hetta Gilbert celebrates its 100th year with its annual charity sale this weekend, marking a century's worth of efforts to help area children.
Burlington, IA- This year's Hetta Gilbert sale marks the 100th anniversary of the annual event which helps raise money for area children to help with their medical needs. The Hawk Eye reports that The sale will take place from 9 AM to 6 PM Friday, October 14th, 9 AM to 3 PM Saturday, and 11 AM to 2 PM for the 50% off sale and 2:30 PM to 4 PM for the $5 bag sale Sunday. The sale will take place at Perkins Park Shelter House, at 1700 Dill St.
A total of 25 organizations received grants through the foundation this year, just more than doubling 2021's 12Â recipients.
The Father Daughter Dance made a welcome return to Catfish Bend Convention and Events Center, with more than 500 tickets sold in advance and more than 600 in attendance after sales.
