The Euclid-based welding-equipment maker said Christopher L. Mapes will retire as president and CEO on Dec. 31 and will be designated as executive chairman of the board, effective Jan. 1, 2024. On that date, chief operating officer Steven B. Hedlund, 56, a 15-year Lincoln veteran, will become president and CEO, as well as a member of the board.
