Mount Airy High School's rising senior running back Tyler Mason committed to Virginia Tech at the Hokies' 2023 spring game. The HighSchoolOT First Team All-Stater is a 3-star prospect and the reigning 1A state championship game MVP. Mason's commitment comes just a couple of weeks after his teammate Deric Dandy pledged to the Hokies.
