Bhutanese refugees bring a "Himalayan Highway" of unique food and culture to the Route 51 corridor
Eight restaurants abut the PA Route 51 corridor serving Himalayan cuisine, including Himali Kitchen, Everest Kitchen, Namaste Momo Corner, Nepali Asian Restaurant in Carrick, and Taste of the Himalayas in Baldwin. Importing these culinary traditions has provided continuity for Nepali-speaking Bhutanese Pittsburghers.
