Abraham Lincoln Quarter Midget Association celebrates 40 years
Lincoln Courier Racing fans enjoyed the thrill of the first day of the season Saturday at the Abraham Lincoln Quarter Midget track, 610 1200th St., in rural Middletown. Not only was it a start of a new season but the day marked the 40th anniversary of the track. Nine classes of racing were featured with two heats each and a feature race for each class. Race participants are given points for the fastest time in the race which at the end of the season determines the winner of the class. Holly Kisner, track spokesperson, said they invited all past racers to return to the opening day.
