Coronavirus interrupted New Brighton teen's acting dream

NEW BRIGHTON – Acting for more than a decade and auditioning for roles for around eight years, 17-year-old Ashlyn Boots is not one for letting her age keep her from pursuing her dream.
COVID-19, however, has put that goal temporarily on hold.
"It is my goal to support myself as an actor, and there are many ways to do that as I'm interested in acting, directing, producing and teaching," the New Brighton native said recently. "When you are an actor it is not for money or fame because few ever achieve that. The likelihood of becoming a star, an icon, is very slim; you do it because that is who you are."
