Mwendwa: FKF ready to resume league after players take Covid-19 jab

However, Mwendwa has explained to
Goal they have asked the government to speed up the process of okaying the resumption of the top-flight insisting they will make sure all measures are put in place to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“First of all, I want to thank the government for making sure all players and officials in the top league have received the Covid-19 vaccine to protect themselves, the process was done without any hitch and we thank the government for their good work,” Mwendwa told
Goal on Monday.
“My appeal to the government is to ask them they speed up the process of resuming football because this will help our national team Harambee Stars as they have World Cup qualifying matches coming up in June.

'In Kenya it doesn't get bigger than Mathare United' - Saidi Musa

"In Kenya it doesn’t get any bigger than Mathare United, especially if you hail from where I am from, so obviously I am over the moon.
"I would like to thank coach [Ali] Salim and everyone here at the club for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to prove myself.
"I also have to thank coach Marques [from Uprising FC] whose mentorship has led me here and as well my former teammates. May they never lack."
The teenager was optimistic he will make a mark with the 2008 league champions like some of his predecessors who hailed from the same area.

'Kakamega Homeboyz will suffer same fate as Ulinzi Stars, Sofapaka & Tusker' - AFC Leopards' Juma

Goal on Sunday.
"I am optimistic of getting a win despite some people thinking it will be a tall order for us. We have managed to get big results this season; wins against the likes of Tusker FC, Sofapaka, Ulinzi Stars, and Kariobangi Sharks.
"Homeboyz will suffer the same fate, I am sure of that."
The 44-year-old is also happy with the fact that all players are in a good condition ahead of the derby which to him is a plus.
"It is encouraging to have all players available because it gives the coach [Patrick Aussems] an easy time for selection," Juma continued.

Kakamega Homeboyz see off Bidco United, KCB down struggling Western Stima

Syll Owino would have made it 3-0 in the 67th minute when he connected with a delivery from a David Owino corner but his effort flew over the crossbar.
Since beating Vihiga United 1-0 in the opener, the subsequent results for Kakamega Homeboyz have been unconvincing as they drew against Posta Rangers and Nzoia Sugar and thereafter went on to lose to KCB, Ulinzi Stars, Tusker and Bandari.
Buoyed by the win, Nicholas Muyoti’s charges will face Wazito FC – who have recorded four consecutive wins – in the last game of the month on January 29. Next for Bidco United will be a home game against Posta Rangers on February 3.

Muyoti: A matter of time before Kakamega Homeboyz start winning

"My key players who were out owing to injuries are now returning and soon, we will see a change of results on the pitch. I am confident, it is just a matter of time; we still want to push harder for the top positions."
On Saturday, Homeboyz suffered a 4-3 loss to 10-man Bandari in the league assignment.
The Dockers scored through Abdallah Hassan, who scored a brace, William Wadri, and Yemi Mwana while Moses Mudavadi scored a brace for the visitors with another goal coming from Aston Esiye.
"We were punished for a slow start, we didn't start the game as we should," Muyoti continued.

Wanga opines why Kakamega Homeboyz have struggled in FKF Premier League

“The way we have been training and playing, you could see there is a slight improvement and it is a matter of time before we start getting results. And when I talk of results, it means winning games.”
Initially, the club’s owner Cleophas Shimanyula stated they have had poor results primarily because some six players returned positive Covid-19 tests and were consequently ruled out of the opening games.
Wanga too stated they were affected by the absence of the infected players.
“Some of the key players were injured just as the season began but now we have almost all players available,” the Premier League-winning star added.
