Rally racer and
Gymkhana legend Ken Block and Ford ended a fruitful 11-year partnership earlier this year. That frees Block to drive whatever he wants this year, so for the first time since 2009, he s back in a Subaru. Block and co-driver Alex Gelsomino will contest seven rounds of the American Rally Association (ARA) championship in an open-class WRX STI built by Vermont SportsCar.
Scheduling conflicts mean that Block and Gelsomino will miss two of the nine remaining ARA rounds, meaning he ll have to work hard to beat Travis Pastrana who s driving an identical car for Subaru to the championship. Vermont SportsCar is the de facto works team for Subaru Motorsports USA, but Block s entry will be private. His first race with the Subaru will be at this wee ....
