this is according to two senior law enforcement officials. authorities say that students were trapped inside the classroom with the gunman and repeatedly called 9-1-1 as local officers waited in the hallway for nearly an hour to take action. following days of confusion and misinformation, we are getting the clearest timeline yet. around 11:30 am, the shooter crashed his car. a 9-1-1 car was placed. shooting began outside of the school. within minutes, the scooter entered the school and fired off 100 rounds. by 12:03 pm, nearly 20 officers stood in a hallway outside of the classrooms. it was not until 12:50 that the classroom was reached using cues from the gender. by 12:58, the shooter was killed. some of the children who survived the massacre are describing what they saw, while desperately waiting for help to arrive. we were watching a movie. we heard banging. my teacher got up to see what it was was. she said, oh my god, he has a gun. when he started shooting we hid ....
