Ash, a 17-year-old senior at Cabell Midland High School in Huntington, joined about 425 other middle and high school students from 10 West Virginia counties at the state Capitol, on Jan. 23, 2024, as part of the Raze anti-smoking movement's annual one-day event held to educate the state's youth about the dangers of tobacco products.
