TX students learn basics in construction trade to fill future jobs

America s construction industry needs more workers, and a labor union has a program to encourage high school students to make it their future career. The Laborers International Union of North America s four-year program allows students to explore a curriculum including real-life, job-related activities and industry projects. Medi Cal immigration status exclusion ends Monday / Public News Service

Starting Monday, California becomes the first state to cover health care for all income-eligible people regardless of their age or immigration status. In 2016 California opened up Medi-Cal to undocumented children, then to young adults in 2020, and then to adults 50 and older in 2022.
