The 61-year-old took a fall on Pen-y-ghent, near Horton-in-Ribblesdale, on Sunday. She had been heading in the direction of Hull Pot, and was near to the path s junction with the old Three Peaks route when the accident happened. The Cave Rescue Organisation (CRO) was called out at around 2.20pm. A CRO spokesman said: As team members responded, the Yorkshire Ambulance Service advised that an air ambulance had collected the patient and was flying her down to meet the road ambulance on Horton playing field. The team stood down. ....
The path coming down from Penyghent THE Clapham based Cave Rescue Organisation (CRO) was called out yesterday (Sunday) afternoon after a 61 year old woman fell on her way down from Penyghent. The woman was reported to have broken her ankle on the path heading towards Hull Pot, near its junction with the old Yorkshire Three Peaks route. A CRO spokesperson said: As team members responded, the ambulance service advised that an air ambulance had collected the patient and was flying her down to meet the road ambulance on Horton Playing Field.
