American actor and activist whose most notable role was in the 1944 film None Shall Escape

Marsha Hunt, one of the last surviving actors from Hollywood's so-called Golden Age of the 1930s and '40s who worked with performers ranging from Laurence Olivier to Andy Griffith in a career disrupted for a time by the McCarthy-era blacklist, has died. She was 104.

Marsha Hunt, who blacklisted from Hollywood leading into the mid-20th century red scare, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, of natural causes.

Marsha Hunt, an actress and activist who appeared in such classic films as "Pride and Prejudice" and "The Human Comedy," but was blacklisted in the 1950s, has died. She was 104 years old.
