Fifty years after the Stockholm environment Conference, research shows protecting nature is vital to save human lives and livelihoods.

In many ways, sustainable development is perhaps like sailing a ship to a far-away shore: the goals are often distant, the voyage often long, and the coordinates complicated. A UN-backed coalition of 1,000 stakeholders from over 100 countries today launched an Action Plan to steer digitalization towards accelerating environmentally and socially sustainable development.
