ST. MARTINVILLE - The St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office announced Monday that an investigation into a pedestrian death that happened in December of 1981 has come to an end.
The young woman was buried at a St. Martin Parish church, where residents there took care of her grave to ensure she was never forgotten.
She was found dead in a New Jersey cemetery in 1982 and became known worldwide as Princess Doe. On Friday, she was identified as Dawn Olanick, 17.

"Princess Doe," who was badly beaten and found in a cemetery in Blairstown in 1982, was identified as Dawn Olanick and her accused killer was charged.
