John Ash Scoggins was last seen as his home on College Street on Tuesday, Feb 16. His remains were discovered Sunday in the Hunter Crossing area of Odenville. Authorities have not released the cause of death. Sheriff’s officials on Tuesday Joshua Phillip Kyle, a 34-year-old Ashville man, has been arrested and charged with murder and abuse of a corpse.
