(Rich Harp/For the Tribune) For more than seven decades Marvin and Regina Emming have called the small Upper Thumb town of Ruth their home. Regina is the daughter of Art and Mildred Bischer, and she was part of a farm family who lived about three miles from Ruth. As might be expected, she attended a country school in Filmore which was about a half mile from her home.
