GREEN RIVER — After a lot of discussion, the Green River City Council voted 5-2 Tuesday night to approve a Special Use Permit for Union Telephone Company to build an 80-foot cell tower on Uinta Drive. Mayor Pete Rust and Councilman Jim Zimmerman were the two votes against the Special Use Permit, while Councilors Robert Berg, Mike Shutran, Sherry Bushman, George Jost, and Gary Killpack voted in favor. North Huron is the latest municipality to be getting some new residential development. Council recently  gave tentative approval of the Hutton Heights development just outside of Wingham (southwest of the corner of Highways 86 and 4). There will also be new development in town at Wingham Creek and two in Blyth (one at the location of the old school, and the other at the north end of the village).
