This year’s Class X board exam was cancelled due to Covid
BHUBANESWAR: After the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) announced the process of assessing the Class X students in the event of the cancellation of the boards, all eyes are now on the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, as the state has also cancelled the final exams.
“Both the CBSE and the ICSE have said they will calculate the marks on the basis of the internal examination scores of students. But we are not yet sure about what our state board will do. Our selection or admission in higher secondary schools and the stream we will opt for depend on the Class X marks,” Rima Dalei, a Class X student, said. ....

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) cancelled the class 10 board examinations (ICSE) as the COVID-19 caseload is seeing a massive surge in India. However, the Class 12 ISC board exams remain deferred and the dates for which will be released later, according to the council s circular.
CISCE had on Friday postponed the ICSE or Class 10 board exams and ISC or Class 12 board exams. The final decision on new dates of examination will be taken by the first week of June 2021, the council had said. ....

After CBSE and IB, Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) board has decided to call off the board exams for Class 10 as COVID-19 cases are spiking in the country.
The board has not shared the criteria on which class 10 students would be marked but the board has asked schools to start with the admission process for Class 11.
The status of ISC Class 12 examinations remains the same, as per the circular dated April 16.After the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and International Baccalaureate (IB), the Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) board has decided to call off the board exams for Class 10 as COVID-19 cases are spiking in the country. “The options given in the earlier circular dated 16 April 2021, now stands withdrawn” said a circular, dated April 19, from the CISCE ....

New Delhi: The ICSE class 10 board exams have been cancelled in view of the worsening Covid-19 situation and the option for students to appear later has been withdrawn, board secretary Gerry Arathoon said on Tuesday.
Last week, the board had postponed both class 10 and 12 exams.
