Bharti Airtel: “Airtel’s contingent liabilities pertaining to DoT claims have seen a sharp jump year-on-year, from Rs 4,100 crore in FY18 to Rs 11,500 crore in FY23, (and) the largest component within this is OTSC,” IIFL Securities said, analysing company data.
Sbi: “The Rs 2,000-crore offer is not enough… Vi’s promoters need to match the company's debt funding needs with higher equity infusion for the banks to step in,” one of them told ET.
Lenders of Vodafone Idea (Vi) are urging the company's promoters to inject more equity in order to qualify for future loans. The recent ₹2,000 crore financial support offered by the promoters is deemed inadequate due to Vi's weak credit rating. The banks, led by State Bank of India (SBI), have advised that a larger equity infusion is necessary to compensate for the lower credit rating and instill confidence in lenders.
Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Limited (TTML) faces claims worth Rs 615.41 crore which are under litigation in various courts across the country, the company told the Bombay Stock Exchange in a filing Tuesday.
TTML is also involved in pending litigations with BSNL for three separate cases in matters regarding port-in charges, access deficit charges, and transit charges, altogether amounting to Rs 91.59 crore.
