A Branford-based developer is promising to build hundreds of apartments and retail space on a 14-acre former factory site in downtown Southington following a sale of the property earlier this month. “It’s a great area,” Developer Michael Massimino said. “There is a major demand for luxury multifamily with a mixed-use component where people can live, work and play.”
