Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), yesterday, said there was a clash between some of its officers and residents of Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The report from sources, including the Convener of Igangan Development Advocates ((IDA), was that gunmen in Customs and Army uniforms invaded Igangan and attacked the residents, leading to the death of Muritala Ajasa, the Amotekun commander in Ibarapa Central Local Government area of the state.
It was gathered that some men in Customs and Army uniforms invaded Igangan in Ibarapa North local government area around 8.00 p.m. on Friday and shot sporadically. It was gathered that no fewer than three people were reportedly killed, while the shooting lasted. One of those killed was the Amotekum commandant in Ibarapa Central. ....

In spite of threats and heavy presence of men of the Nigeria Police, Army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other security agencies in Lagos yesterday, agitators for the Yoruba Nation made good their promise to hold a rally to press home their demands.

Security operatives had very early in the day cordoned off parts of Lagos including Ikorodu, Ojota, Ajah, Abule Egba, Lekki, Agege, Ikeja, Maryland, Berger, Obalende, Yaba, Oshodi, Ogba and Lagos Island among other locations, leading to heavy traffic on major roads, but the agitators were undeterred. ....

Sunday Igboho: Stakeholders express mixed reactions over invasion, killing, arrest of aides

Stakeholders have expressed mixed reactions over the invasion of the residence of Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho.
DAILY POST recalls that the residence located at Soka area in Oluyole local government area of Oyo State was invaded by a combined team of Department of State Services (DSS) around 2.am on Thursday.
The DSS confirmed the invasion during a press conference Thursday night.
Our correspondent gathered that two people were killed while thirteen (13) people who were found at Igboho’s residence were arrested and taken to Abuja.
But, stakeholders among whom are labour leaders, politicians, human rights crusaders and other Nigerians have expressed divergent feelings over the invasion. ....
