The Nigerian Correctional Service has confirmed the escape of three convicted inmates from the Ijebu Ode Correctional Centre, Ogun State. This was announced in a statement issued by the Ijebu Imusin Area Command of the So-Safe Corps and obtained by PM News. It identified the escaped inmates as Hammed Adeboyejo, an armed robbery and murder convict; Fatai Taiwo Akande, who was also convicted of murder; and Aliu Oguntona, who was sentenced for sexual offences. It was learned that the inmates escaped from the prison around 3 am on Saturday.
