New Delhi, Feb 24 (PTI) In an action against illegal dairies operating in Tri Nagar area of Keshav Puram Zone, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi on Saturday sealed five properties and rescued 102 cattle heads, the civic body said in a statement.
GMC takes action against 61 illegal meat and fish shops in Guwahati, cancels licenses, and imposes fines for public health violations.
The petitioner argued that only 17 out of 3,000 meat shops and slaughterhouses have the requisite licenses under Section 31 of the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006.
The bench led by Chief Justice Aravind Kumar also said it might take suo motu cognizance of the inaction of the police authorities against helmetless motorists.
