Around 8:00 pm on Wednesday, the Henderson County Sheriff's Office received a call from Iowa Authorities that an Officer was following a pickup across the Great River Bridge that was refusing to stop. Vernon was traveling along Interstate 64 near mile marker 106 when for unknown reasons he left the roadway, striking a guard rail, and popping a tire. There were no injuries.
