In florida, a pirate-themed party boat ran aground saturday hours before midnight, and the planned ship for a new year s eve celebration. another boat tried to ferry passengers to shore but also hit bottom. about 101 pirates ushered in the new year on shore, not as planned. we re thinking they probably still had a good time. and town officials in western pennsylvania are letting down the law on sledding in local parks in beaver borough. sledding is banned altogether in one park following an accident. in another park, it is still okay to sled, but it s restricted to local residents only and kids under 12 must wear helmets. no real commute headaches expected monday. it is a federal holiday, but there s still severe weather to keep an eye on. meteorologist bonnie schneider is here with that. so, if there is some sledding weather out there, you have to wear a helmet some places. absolutely. ....

Park following an accident. in another park, it is still okay to sled, but it is restricted to just residents which means their family and friends cannot take part in that kind of fun if they don t live there. children under 12 must also wear helmets. on the san francisco now, banana sam has been safely returned to the city zoo. police say a passerby spotted the 17-year-old squirrel monkey peeking out through some bushes at a park yesterday, one day after it was allegedly stolen. the man was able to coax the primate into a backpack apparently. the zoo workers say banana sam is doing just fine. he looks pretty good. he s he was thirsty. he was hungry, trembling a little bit, but we did a quick physical exam on him and he looks pretty good. is it easy to coax a monkey into a backpack? i would venture to say it is not. a monkey would be placed into a backpack forcibly. my goodness. ....
