ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib categorically rejected the claim of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb that the government had released ‘wrong’ data on economic growth.
In a statement, he termed the data, released by National Accounts Committee (NAC) on the country’s economic growth, ‘realistic’, adding “If someone [opposition] has an iota of doubt on the figures, he should come forward and prove them wrong.”
The minister said days were gone when the economic growth data was tempered and the governments of various parties [which are now in opposition] came up with fudged figures to befool the public. ....

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM: The European Commission has fined Sigma-Aldrich €7.5 million for providing incorrect information during the commission s investigation of Merck s acquisition of Sigma-Aldrich.
On 21 April 2015, Merck notified the commission of its plan to acquire Sigma-Aldrich. On 15 June 2015, the commission approved the proposed acquisition subject to the divestiture of certain Sigma-Aldrich assets, which would address the competition concerns identified in markets for specific laboratory chemicals.
For the divestment business, it was noted that an innovation project, called iCap, specifically developed for the divestment business products had not been disclosed to the commission. ....
