View: India's PC import restrictions smell like desperation
India's decision to impose restrictions on the import of computers and tablets now appears to be more like bureaucratic desperation than a solid industrial policy. Businesses will require an import license to bring items like laptops into the country. The governments attempt to push back the implementation only adds to the sense that New Delhi is making things up as it goes along.
