IND vs ENG: 3rd T20I: Virat Kohli Loses His Cool After Shardul Thakur's Lazy Fielding Effort. Watch

Virat Kohli lost his cool at the India pacer, shouting and glaring at him
India lost the third T20I and are trailing 2-1 in the series
India captain Virat Kohli on Tuesday lost his cool at Shardul Thakur after the medium-pacer was slow to react on the field, allowing England to take an extra run during the third T20 International. Defending a modest total of 156 against a strong England batting line-up in Ahmedabad, Kohli knew India had to keep it very tight with their bowling and fielding to try and put some pressure on England and keep themselves in the game. In the 12th over, Jonny Bairstow nudged the ball to the leg side and Shardul Thakur was slow to react, and when he did get to the ball, he sent back a wild throw that went towards cover rather than at either of the stumps.

IND vs ENG: Jos Buttler Trumps Virat Kohli As England Beat India By Eight Wickets

Highlights
Buttler's knock overshadowed Virat Kohli's 77 not out off 46 balls
England took a 3-1 lead in the five-match series
Virat Kohli's brilliance wasn't good enough to paper over an otherwise inept Indian batting performance as England humbled the hosts by eight wickets in the third T20 International to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. Eoin Morgan unleashed his fast bowlers Mark Wood (3/31) and Chris Jordan (2/35) to restrict the hosts for 156 for 6, which the visitors surpassed easily in 18.2 overs, riding on Jos Buttler's unbeaten 83 off 52 balls. Skipper Kohli had mistakenly said at the toss that his team led 2-1 but Morgan, in his 100th T20 International appearance, made sure that opposite happened.

Virat Kohli slammed the winning six to seal a win for India against England in the second T20I of the five-match series, at the Narendra Modi Stadium. In reply to England's target of 165 runs, captain Kohli scored an unbeaten knock of 73 in 49 balls, to help India reach 166 for three in 17.5 overs. The hosts had a poor start to their chase, losing KL Rahul for a duck. But after the arrival of Kohli, India began to gain momentum and also saw the skipper stitch together a partnership with debutant Ishan Kishan. Kishan also registered a half-century (56 off 32 balls), before getting dismissed. Rishabh Pant also made a noteworthy contribution of 26 runs, with Shreyas Iyer (8) remaining unbeaten with Kohli. The visiting bowlers couldn't really find their footing in the second T20I, with Sam Curran, Chris Jordan and Adil Rashid registering a wicket each. Earlier, the visitors could only muster 164 for six in 20 overs, with Jason Roy (46 off 35) once again missing out on a half-century. For India's bowling department, Washington Sundar and Shardul Thakur were in top form, registering two wickets each. Meanwhile, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal took a dismissal each. The win has also helped India level the series at 1-1, with the third T20I scheduled for March 16. (SCORECARD)

The day and the match, however, belonged to England as the visitors easily chased down the paltry target of 125 in just 15.3 overs to take a 1-0 series lead.
England had won the toss, and elected to field.
Jofra Archer struck in the second over of the match as Rahul dragged a widish delivery back onto his stumps. India captain Virat Kohli fell in the next over to Adil Rashid, lobbing an easy catch to Chris Jordan at mid-off.
Things went from bad to worse as Shikhar Dhawan got out to a rash shot off Mark Wood to leave India tottering at 20 for three in five overs. Shreyas Iyer scored a fine half-century but India never really got on top of the England bowling and were retricted to 124 for seven in their 20 overs.
