Historic Penn Home in Fishtown to be converted into residential complex, restaurant

The historic Penn Home in Fishtown is being converted into a 45-unit residential complex with a restaurant and potential for temporary housing, according to a zoning permit. The former Penn Asylum for Indigent Widows & Single Women shut down in September of 2020 after 172 years. It was quickly added to the Philadelphia Register of Historic Buildings. ....
