Mumbai, Mar 11 (PTI) The Bombay High Court on Monday refused to grant interim stay on setting up a fact-checking unit (FCU) under the recently amended Information Technology Rules to identify fake and false content on social media concerning the business of the Union government.
IT Ministry said that it was amending Section 23 of the IT (Procedure and Safeguards for Interception, Monitoring and Decryption of Information) Rules, 2009 by substituting “security agency” with the words “competent authority and the security agency”
