Spoked Cycle Tour - Three Greytown Men Take On The Ride Of Their Life

Spoked - The Tour Aotearoa
Starting on the 1st of
Feb 2021, three guys from Greytown in the Wairarapa will be
riding the ‘Tour Aotearoa’ (TA), a 3000km mountain bike
route from Cape Reinga to Bluff over 26 days (plus some
probably) . that means over 100km s a day and all the
‘hazards’ that come with 7+ hours in the saddle! Calling
themselves the ‘Spoked’ crew, Pete Sutherland, David
Savage and Mike Smith will be fundraising for The
Neurological Foundation and the Million Metres Stream
Project as they go.

This is an

Pacific Customs Administrations Celebrate International Customs Day

As countries emerge from the coronavirus crisis, Customs
administrations in the Pacific should be commended for their
tireless efforts in protecting their borders as well as
ensuring that trade is continued in the region, Oceania
Customs Organisation Head of Secretariat, Richard Brennan
says.
OCO and its 23 members joined the world in
celebrating International Customs Day on January 26, which
has been dedicated to “the efforts of customs officers to
support people and businesses by strengthening the global
supply chain, reinforcing collaboration, harnessing
technology and putting “people” at the centre of the

European Union Provides FJD 14.3 Million To Strengthen Pacific Trade Capacity

ceremony.
The European Union (EU)
and the Pacific Island Forum Secretariat (PIFS) have today
signed a new project worth EUR 5.75 million (equivalent to
FJD 14.3 million) to enhance the trade capacity of Pacific
countries.
The project titled Strengthening Pacific
Intra -Regional and International Trade (SPIRIT) (SPIRIT)
aims at boosting and increasing intra-regional and
international trade by strengthening institutional and
technical capacity in the region. It will facilitate the

Should We Make Korikori Green A Street For People?

Korikori Green, a road in Rototuna North connecting North
City Road and Kimbrae Drive, could soon be closed to through
traffic.
Hamilton City Council constructed Korikori
Green alongside Korikori Park, which opened in February
2020, providing access and parking to the park. It also
provides a link between the Rototuna high schools, the
surrounds to the north-east of the village and the soon to
be built Rototuna Village.
Hamiltonians can now have
their say on whether a section of Korikori Green is declared
a pedestrian mall. A pedestrian mall is a street for people,
meaning you can still walk, cycle, scooter or park on ....
