Inlet Square Mall, the South Strand shopping center near the intersection of U.S. Highways 17 Business and Bypass, plans to close most of its interior stores early next year. Belk and Planet Fitness will remain open.
Inlet Square is being redeveloped from a 500,000-square-foot enclosed mall to a 250,000-square-foot mixed-used development that will include retail, medical, hotel and multi-family businesses, the developer states. The project’s completion date is scheduled for spring of 2025.
