NZ On Air has greenlit 11 innovative new youth projects to be distributed through a variety of online platforms used by young audiences. Up to $2.4m has been invested in content that will focus on youth voices, perspectives and issues in Aotearoa. The projects were selected following a call out for Scripted, Factual or Music content that could ‘cut through the online noise’ and strongly connect with 15-24 year olds in New Zealand. Emphasis was placed on reaching youth audiences via the platforms they most actively engage with, in line with NZ On Air’s 2020 Where Are The Audiences findings. ....
These experiences are between just $15 and $500 per night. As the days grow shorter and colder, many of us may find ourselves feeling a little low at this time of year. A wellness holiday could be just what the doctor ordered. And here in New Zealand, there are so many experiences on offer that are perfect for blowing away those cobwebs, especially when you’re feeling more like going into hibernation mode. You don’t have to be a rich-lister to enjoy them, either. I’d love to do this.” Stuff Travel says: If there is one must-do for New Zealanders, especially for those who love wilderness and nature, it would have to be rafting the Landsborough River on the West Coast in summer. A guided adventure, it begins with a helicopter ride into the first comfortable camp before you begin a three-day adventure through untouched bush, rugged valleys and fun rapids. ....
Opinion: How halting use of AstraZeneca vaccine could do more harm than good Newshub 4 days ago . Just as regulatory authorities - such as the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the UK s Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) - had systems in place to assess if the vaccines worked, so too did they create carefully thought through vaccine safety plans to deal with any safety signals arising after the vaccines deployment. However, this week the EU s plan for vaccine safety was thrown into confusion. At least 12 EU states have suspended use of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine because of concerns of a possible link between the vaccine and blood clots. These concerns are registered in spontaneous reports, where a patient or healthcare professional suspects a link between an adverse event they ve witnessed and the vaccine. Reporters do not have to be sure of a link, and these reports do not prove there s any association between the vaccine and ....
