FORT LEE, Va. – The initial entry Soldier who became an automated logistics specialist here 23 years ago is back – this time as the garrison’s top enlisted leader.
Command Sgt. Maj. Tamisha A. Love was officially welcomed to the Fort Lee command team at an April 23 change of responsibility ceremony in the Lee Club. Col. Karin L. Watson, garrison commander, presided over the formalities that included reclaiming the installation colors from outgoing CSM James D. House and passing them to his successor.
The senior mission commander at Fort Lee, Maj. Gen. Rodney D. Fogg, and his command team counterpart CSM Jorge C. Escobedo, CASCOM CSM, were among the distinguished guests. Also present were House’s wife and three children and a close friend of the incoming CSM. In-person attendance was limited as a COVID-19 safeguard. The event was livestreamed on social media. ....

DVIDS - News - U.S. Army Garrison Japan bids farewell to Deputy Garrison Commander

CAMP ZAMA, JAPAN (APRIL 16, 2021) - U.S. Army Garrison Japan hosted a retirement ceremony April 16 to bid farewell to outgoing Deputy Garrison Commander J. Steve Niederriter and his wife, Janet.
USAG Japan Commander Col. Thomas R. Matelski, the ceremony’s presiding officer, presented Mr. Niederriter with a Superior Civilian Service Medal, retirement certificates from Installation Management Command – Pacific and USAG Japan, and a retirement pin.
USAG Japan Command Sgt. Major Justin Turner also presented Niederriter with a coin, and Matelski presented Janet with the Public Service Commendation Medal.
Craig L. Deatrick, director of IMCOM-Pacific, joined the ceremony virtually, and both Matelski and Deatrick provided comments to thank the Niederriters for their selfless service. ....
