As Covid cuts a swathe through sport, golf is swimming against the tide of the virus by announcing on Monday the 2021 NZPGA Championship will be held at Te Puke Golf Club next month. It will even have a “party hole”, a concept used at the Phoenix Open on the PGA Tour, where a mini-stadium is built around a par three green to create a rowdy atmosphere. With the NZ Open, one of the top two events on the New Zealand golfing calendar, the PGA Championship is to be held at Te Puke for the first time, from April 28 to May 2. ....
