Spaces are still available at free online events dedicated to the integration of trees with productive farmland.
The Integrating Trees Network is a farmer-led project facilitated by Scottish Forestry and Scottish Government, to promote the many benefits of agriforestry.
It has a number of free online events planned, where Andrew Adamson of Messrs W Laird and Son, of Netherurd Home Farm, Peeblesshire and the Imrie family, of Hillhead Farm, Lanarkshire, will be talking about the integration of trees with their farming businesses.
With the first event taking place on Wednesday March 3 at 7pm, farmers and landowners are encouraged to find out more and sign up at www.farmingforabetterclimate.org/ ....

A network of farms, crofts and estates will be established to showcase the benefits of planting trees on agricultural land.
The farmer-led Integrating Trees Network, run by the Scottish Government and Scottish Forestry, aims to encourage more producers to plant trees on their land.
“We want to encourage more trees to be planted on Scottish land, but always in the right place, for the right reason, and to give practical guidance as to how this can be achieved,” said Rural Affairs Minister Ben Macpherson. ....
