(CNN) – Lego wants to teach kids about online empathy with an interactive quiz on its website.
In the quiz, a new Lego hero named Captain Safety teams up with four other heroes to show children how to be more supportive of each other.
They have kids answer questions about situations meant to make them aware of other people’s feelings, needs and concerns on the internet. ....

Coronavirus: Daycares not major source of COVID-19 transmission, says French study

The presence of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies was low among infants and preschoolers attending several daycares in France during the first lockdown, a new study reports.
The study, published on Monday in The Lancet Child & Adolescent Health, indicates that these types of settings are not a major source of COVID-19 transmission.
In addition, the seroprevalence rate, or the number of individuals who tested positive for the coronavirus antibody, among 197 participating daycare staff was comparable to a control group, according to researchers. The control group was made up of 164 office and lab staff from six hospitals who had not been exposed to COVID-19 patients or to young children. ....

'It's devastating' disabled people not prioritized in vaccine rollout, advocates say


In B.C., for example, those with intellectual disabilities in group homes were among some of the first vaccinated.
“But there’s [no] consideration of those of us living in the community, those of us requiring personal support workers or attendants or other family members to provide care,” Smith, who has severe Anaphylaxis, told CTVNews.ca. “There doesn’t seem to be a clear plan.”
She said that disabled people like her friend, who uses a wheelchair, are at higher risk because of their increased interactions.
“Many of us live with conditions that put us at higher risk of getting COVID or [are] put us at risk because of the number of humans we encounter,” she said, noting that her friend,who uses a wheelchair, doesn’t even leave the house. ....
