The Africa Women’s Youth Nations Championship will take place in Monastir, Tunisia from September 16 to 23.

The United States of America delivered one of their biggest-ever performances on the world stage as they pushed record-breakers Denmark at the Malmö Arena, eventually losing 24:33 in their main round clash of the 2023 IHF Men's World Championship. The Danes, with a rotated team and key players rested, were not only playing in front of a packed arena of their fans but are also going for their third, unprecedented world championship in a row. This result now means they have gone 25 games unbeaten in the competition.

Friday 20 January was the final day of the Men's IHF Trophy Continental Phase Africa, which took place in the Congolese capital Brazzaville.  The winners in both age categories were determined, as Nigeria won the youth (U18) competition, and Guinea triumphed at the junior (U20) event. Both sides also qualified for the Intercontinental Phase of the Men's IHF Trophy, which will take place in Costa Rica in March 2023.

The youth (U18) national team of Guadeloupe became the winners of the Men's IHF Trophy North America and the Caribbean, which took place between 15 and 19 November in Mexico City. They also qualified for the Intercontinental Phase of the IHF Trophy.
