Hurricane-damaged Navaho missile back on display at Cape Canaveral SFS
A historic Navaho cruise missile damaged during Hurricane Matthew's grazing of the Space Coast in 2016 is officially standing guard again just outside Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Workers late last month reinstalled the inert orange-and-white winged missile —developed in the 1940s and '50s to strike Soviet Union targets from U.S. soil — near the base's south gate after years-long restoration efforts.
