UPDATE 2-Mediaset plans to move legal base to the Netherlands, drop loyalty share scheme

(Adds details on results)
MILAN, April 26 (Reuters) - Mediaset said on Monday it would ask shareholders to approve moving the Italian broadcaster’s legal headquarters to the Netherlands in a fresh effort to pursue international expansion.
Mediaset was previously forced to shelve plans to set up a Dutch holding company that would make it easier for the group to seek European tie-ups because of opposition from its second-biggest investor, Vivendi, which fought the project in courts across Europe.
In an apparent offer of an olive branch to Vivendi, Mediaset also said it would ask shareholders on May 27 to scrap a loyalty share scheme that Vivendi had challenged in court. ....

May 13 (Reuters) - China’s top e-commerce platform Alibaba Group Holding Ltd on Thursday posted its first quarterly operating loss since going public in 2014 due to a record anti-monopoly fine by the country’s market regulator.
Its U.S.-listed shares fell nearly 3% in choppy trading, even as the company forecast strong 2022 revenue, betting that the pandemic-driven shift to online shopping will remain resilient.
The outlook, however, was overshadowed by a regulatory crackdown in China that led to the suspension of a $37 billion IPO of its affiliate Ant Group and a $2.8 billion fine in April for anti-competitive business practices. ....

TOKYO (Reuters) -SoftBank Group Corp on Wednesday reported a record 4.03 trillion yen ($37 billion) Vision Fund unit profit from a fourth-quarter gain on Coupang, putting it among the world’s top earning firms a year after an unprecedented loss.
Group net profit was 4.99 trillion yen ($45.88 billion) in the year ended March, beating the $42.5 billion made by Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway in its last business year.
“This is not a result to make us puffed up with pride. I don’t want it to be a one time thing,” founder and CEO Masayoshi Son told a news conference.
The profit compares with an 962 billion yen loss a year earlier after teetering tech bets here depressed the value of SoftBank s portfolio. ....
