The roads, stranding drivers on interstate 80, the main route between northern california and northern nevada, as hurricane-force winds made visibility and movement impossible at times. tonight some 13 million people are under winter alerts all the way from southern california to wisconsin with eastern wyoming, south dakota, nebraska and part of colorado under a threat of blizzards. raising the avalanche danger as well. but the west and plains won't be the only places facing severe weather this week. we'll get the latest forecast in a moment but first to miguel almaguer in northern california....
