The Burlington City Council on Monday approved a five-year contract with most of its union employees. The city's new contract keeps almost all of the permissive language and gives union employees a 2.5% raise for each of the contract's five years. After years of planning, research and testing, conservation officers and park rangers with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources have been outfitted with a body-worn camera and trained how to use it. The cameras, however, don’t look like a typical body camera. Officials elected in November were sworn in at the Carroll County Board of Supervisors meeting on Monday.
