Iranetta Wright was named CPS superintendent after serving as the deputy superintendent for Detroit Public Schools Community District since 2017.
Wright previously served as the deputy superintendent for Detroit Public Schools Community District.
During her tenure as Detroit deputy superintendent, Wright oversaw the daily operations of the district’s 107 schools, including managing principals, counseling services, discipline, public safety, and athletics.
