Ben and Kami Crawford celebrated their son Rainier’s efforts on their Instagram page, posting photos of the young boy looking happy May 1 as he completed the Flying Pig Marathon in Cincinnati.
The parents of the 6-year-old boy who ran the entire Flying Pig Marathon spoke about the backlash they've been facing from people across the nation. Rainier Crawford, 6, crossed the finish line in 8 hours and 35 minutes along with his two parents and five siblings, ages 11-20.
Though Flying Pig's website says runners must be 18 or older, one family said a 6-year-old ran in this year's marathon.
“He was struggling physically and wanted to take a break and sit every three minutes,” the father said.
