Bipartisan Senate Hearing Validates Whistleblower Nurse Dawn Wooten’s Disclosures that Numerous Immigrant Women Underwent Nonconsensual, Unnecessary Gynecological Procedures
A congressional subcommittee concluded that "female detainees appear to have undergone excessive, invasive, and often unnecessary gynecological procedures."
A bipartisan congressional report released Tuesday pushed back on allegations that an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) contracted physician performed non-consensual "mass hysterectomies" that led to the 2020 investigation of a Georgia immigration facility.
"This is an extraordinarily disturbing finding and in my view represents a catastrophic failure by the federal government," Senator Ossoff said.
