Police Chief Jeffrey Norman said a man from inside a home shot at police officers on two occasions. The officers returned shots each time. On the second occasion, an officer was hit.
Police initially responded to the school for a report of a subject "acting erratically" in the parking lot of the school. The person was able to climb onto the roof of the school and two officers pursued on foot.
