A Gaston County grand jury returned first-degree murder indictments this week against three people, including a 16-year-old girl, in a double homicide case that left men from Bessemer City and Kings Mountain dead.
The grand jury also returned two true bills of indictment for first-degree murder against a 16-year-old girl, also from Taylorsville, in this case.
Prosecutors have yet to move to ask a judge to allow them to charge the girl as an adult, a decision which could come in the next two weeks, according to court officials.
While she remains a juvenile under North Carolina law, police and court officials cannot identify her.
