Drug smugglers busted with $72 million cocaine shipment inside boat in Mexico Pacific coast waters
The Mexican military seized a $72 million cocaine shipment from a fishing vessel that was intercepted in the Pacific Ocean. The fishy cargo was confiscated April 6 after a Coast Guard ship located the boat 69 miles south from Nayarit in the archipelago of Islas Marías. The fishing boat, called Jorge M. II, was then taken to the port of Balleto in Isla María Madre where sniffer dogs led authorities to the massive shipment that was concealed in the vessel's storage compartments.
